7 Passenger Crossover SUV – For People Looking For Space And Style
03rd December 2010
SUVs and crossovers are all time hits with people looking for space and style. These vehicles can be categorized as full size, mid-size and compact vehicles. The other features to see are fuel efficiency, reliability and luxury. The minivan is a third choice that could compete with these types of seven passenger vehicles.
Nevertheless, a minivan is often a choice of people who are seeking extra space. They lack in style. The SUV gets the highest marks when it comes to appearance. Its sportier appearance makes it look like a perfect mix of design and luxury. The crossover model wins point blank in fuel efficiency. These crossover vehicles may have less space as compared to the minivans but they have good looks with a lethal combination of luxury and fuel efficiency.
As the size of one’s family expands, so does the requirement for a big car. Consider the requirements of your family before finalizing the vehicle purchase. If your family has 6 members or more and you like to buy a car with good fuel efficiency, SUVs probably will not fit your bill. You can instead look for a seven passenger crossover SUV.
The Chevrolet Equinox is a good example. It manages to offer the right combination of a fuel economy equivalent to mid-sized sedans, space comparable to a mid-sized SUV and a lot of value for the price. It can only disappoint in the power segment. Some Equinox owners feel that it is underpowered.
Nissan and Ford offer comparable seven passenger crossover, but at a higher price compared to the Chevrolet Equinox. The Toyota RAV4 is another 7 passenger crossover SUV at a lower price than most comparable brands but it lacks the fuel efficiency available with the Equinox.
If you can stretch your budget a little and can deal with less fuel efficiency then 7 passenger crossover SUVs like the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and the Ford Flex are made for you. They offer better style and luxury than the Equinox category but still manage to fit into the reasonable price tag.
However, if you are looking for a mid-sized crossover SUV with great interior and exteriors and can spend some more, you can check out SUVs offered by Volkswagen like the Tiguan. In general, consider your family size, your financial position, fuel efficiency of the vehicle, its looks and power before choosing the final one.
